The Hobbs Public Library is proud to announce we will be expanding our hours.
Beginning January 2nd, 2025, the library will be open Monday through Thursday from 9am to 7pm and Fridays and Saturdays from 9am to 3pm. All current programs will continue at their currently scheduled times.
Expanded hours are one way the library is working to improve our services and offerings. We will continue growing, changing and improving to meet the needs of Hobbs’ residents, please call us at 575-397-9328 with any comments or feedback.
The Hobbs Public Library is proud to announce access to a new resource for the Hobbs community, Scholastic Teachables.
Scholastic Teachables is a free online database of tens of thousands of searchable and printable educational materials. Created by teachers and precisely leveled, Scholastic Teachables materials are of high-quality and are ready-to-use for all age ranges from Pre-K to grade 8. Scholastic Teachables promotes skill building while making learning fun.
Teachers and parents can search over 25,000 skills and activity sheets, mini-books, educational crafts, and more, to meet student needs. Access to Scholastic Teachables is like having thousands of workbooks, crafts and activities at your fingertips.
The library is excited to announce adding access to another new resource for our community:
Transparent Language offers unlimited access to more than 110 languages, including English for speakers of over 30 languages. Transparent Language offers pronunciation practice, speech analysis, grammar, writing activities, and vocabulary-building activities.

We recently added Beanstack to offer reading challenges for all ages. Setup your free beanstack account at HobbsPublicLibrary.beanstack.org or add the app from the app store and log your reading today. Join in reading challenges with your friends and family and win prizes! Beanstack challenges are available for children, teens and adults.
